CEO Hunter Robinson announced his resignation from Central Rural Electric Cooperative after 25 years of service to the cooperative. Robinson has served as CEO since 2019.
“We appreciate Hunter’s service to the cooperative and wish him the best,” said Carol Dvorak, Central’s Board President. “Hunter has helped position Central for the future and was instrumental in the development of Central’s fiber subsidiary, Centranet. The cooperative is in a very good position as we begin a search for our next CEO.”
Sondra White, Central’s chief financial officer, will serve as interim CEO during a nationwide search for a new CEO. White joined Central in 2018 after a 22-year banking career. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University.
“I am honored to serve the membership and employees through this transition,” White said. “We have outstanding employees and an experienced management team that is prepared to lead during this time.”
Dvorak said the board of trustees doesn’t have a strict timeline set to name a new CEO and will take their time to find the right person.
“We are fortunate to have a great team of employees,” Dvorak said. “Sondra’s experience and the support of a great team of employees allows us the luxury of time to find the right candidate.”
