The Central Community Foundation board, through funds received from Operation RoundUp, recently approved a grant of $2,100 to the second annual Stillwater’s A Night to Shine to help pay for required background checks.
A Night to Shine is a worldwide movement sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation which simultaneously, one night a year, hosts a prom for those with special needs ages 14 years and older. This event also provides a sit-down dinner for parents and guardians.
In 2019, Stillwater’s A Night to Shine honored 175 guests, 344 volunteers and provided dinner for more than 100 parents. Worldwide, A Night to Shine was held by more than 655 churches in 50 states and across 24 countries with more than 100,000 honored guests and 200,000 volunteers in 2019.
Stillwater’s second annual A Night to Shine will be held February 7th at the First United Methodist Church. For more information or to donate visit: nighttoshinestillwater.com.
