The Central Community Foundation board, through funds received from Operation Round Up, recently approved a grant of $3,000 to the Oklahoma Lions Meadows of Hope located near Perkins, Oklahoma.
Lions Meadows of Hope help keep siblings who are in the foster care system together in loving homes. The organization serves families living in five homes on an 160-acre campus near Perkins and provides resources for foster families throughout the county. The funds will help Lions Meadows of Hope build a community center on their campus.
The Central Community Foundation is a charitable organization established by Central Rural Electric Cooperative to administer a program called Operation Round Up®. The Central Community Foundation makes grants available to individuals and organizations throughout Central’s service area from the money donated by Central members who choose to round up their electric bill to the nearest dollar each month.
