Five of Central’s linemen tested their skills and teamwork at the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas City, an annual event that celebrates the dedication, precision and craftsmanship of electric lineworkers across the region.

The rodeo brings together some of the most talented linemen from cooperatives, utilities and contractors to compete in events that simulate real-world challenges. Everything from speed climbs and hurt-man rescues to complex equipment installations. Each event is timed and judged on safety, technique and accuracy.

“Watching our linemen compete is something I’m incredibly proud of,” said Dewayne Drury, Central’s Director of Operations. “The rodeo showcases the professionalism and dedication our crews bring to the job every single day.”
