The Central Community Foundation board, through funds received from Operation Roundup, recently approved a grant of $1,000 to Helping Hands Community Foundation of Chandler, Oklahoma to help with the cost of free dental checks at their community outreach event held this past August.
Helping Hands Community Foundation held their first community outreach festival on August 3, 2019. The goal of this festival was to bring community resources and local citizens together to educate and help those in need.
Helping Hands Community Foundation is a local not-for-profit organization committed to helping those in need within the community. In August 2018 they furthered this mission by establishing an outdoor food pantry that is accessible 24 hours a day. Additionally, the foundation was able to provide 68 families with food boxes during the 2018 holiday season.
The Central Community Foundation is a charitable organization established by Central Rural Electric Cooperative to administer a program called Operation Round Up®. The Central Community Foundation makes grants available to individuals and organizations throughout Central’s service area from the money donated by Central members who choose to round up their electric bill to the nearest dollar each month.
