Central Electric Cooperative’s marketing and communication efforts were recently recognized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Spotlight on Excellence Awards program. The program recognizes a body of outstanding work produced by electric cooperative communication and marketing professionals from across the country.
The cooperative won a silver award in the category of best graphic design for its “Empowering Our Communities” graphic. The graphic includes the names of each of the communities Central serves and was created to highlight Central’s commitment to those communities.
“Central strives to maintain open communications between the cooperative and the members,” said Hunter, Robinson, CEO of Central. “For those efforts to be recognized nationally is an honor, and I am incredibly proud of our marketing and communications team.”
Central would have been presented an award at NRECA’s Connect Conference in Denver this May, however, the conference has been canceled due to COVID-19.
Central would also like to congratulate our neighboring cooperatives who also won Spotlight awards this year: Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, Norman; Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, Vinita; and our power provider Associated Electric Cooperative, Springfield, Missouri.
