Melanie McGuire Elected as District 3 Trustee
Central Rural Electric Cooperative district three members elected Melanie McGuire to serve as trustee beginning in October. McGuire will succeed Carol Dvorak who has served as trustee for the district since 2012.
McGuire owns her own consulting firm and has experience working for the Toro Company and in banking. She is an active member of the Perry community, serving in various leadership roles in the Perry Rotary Club, Perry Main Street, and United Fund of Perry. McGuire holds a business degree in marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma. She and her husband Matt have three children.
The drive-thru district three election was held August 22 at the Noble County Fairgrounds parking lot in Perry. Jim A. Freudenberger and Joe Ogle also filed for the district three trustee position. Nearly 10% of the district’s membership participated in the election; 5% participation was needed to meet quorum.
